SYDNEY, Dec 13 AAP - Police have uncovered an illegal drug-making operation at a suburban Sydney house.

Officers seized more than 10,000 ecstasy pills, three pill presses and containers of powder and chemicals in a raid on a house in Weenamana Place at Padstow in Sydney's south-west late on Friday.

The unoccupied house had been transformed into a large scale illegal drug factory, with one room devoted to pill pressing while pills were stacked in plastic tubs in the kitchen, police said.

A crime scene was established at the house and detectives were investigating.

No arrests had been made by midday Saturday and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
